Contest Registration and Entry Process
Here are directions for complete registration and contest entry.
Entrant: The entrant is the named journalist whose work is submitted to the contest – the journalist whose byline appears on the work – the person to whom an award is given.
Registrant: The registrant is the person entering on behalf of another person or self-submitting. No more than four contest entries may be submitted for any one entrant.
Entry Number: The entry number is based on the number of entry submissions for the entrant – not to be confused with the registrant, e.g. Entry 1 (first entry submission), Entry 3 (third entry submission). Maximum is four per journalist.
Planning ahead and having all the required information and prepared materials on hand will help avoid technical difficulties and delays (and frustration!).

How to Enter
There are four steps to take to complete one contest entry.
The first step is creating a registrant account.
The second step is entry registration, along with payment.
The third step is the entry submission.
The fourth step is the submission of the journalist biography.
If you have additional entries to submit for the same journalist (entrant):
- Repeat Step 2 – entry registration process.
- Repeat Step 3 – entry submission process.
If you have an entry to submit for a different journalist (entrant):
- Repeat Step 2 – entry registration process.
- Repeat Step 3 – entry submission process.
- Repeat Step 4 – journalist biography submission process.
Please complete and submit one entry at a time.
